Deep violet-blue...

And I'm listening to some Deep Purple! ('Burn') My, my!  Anyway, pictures of my latest purchase, Seiko SPC-081, Chrono-big date with 24-hour register (which would be cool if it had percentages of the day, like .25 for 6am, .50 for noon, you get the crazy idea), and a fabulous dark blue-violet dial that looks black at certain angles, and blue at other times.  Caliber 7T04 with the chronograph that acts like all chronographs (boring -  start, stop, reset..) but also has two other features where you can stop the chrono with the lower button, wait a few seconds (for example), then click on it again and it advances, or 'catches up', to where you left off in the counting.  And lastly, I like this one (and the grandkids do too, when they're racing each other), start chrono, click bottom button to stop at some point (1st event end, like one of them crosses the imaginary finish line), then click top button for 2nd event end, click bottom button and it'll indicate 2nd event end time.  Coolness.  Enjoy.... (sorry, picture doesn't do it justice!)..

and you must be retired or have a mind like a steel trap to remember which button on the chrono to push to accomplish the start-stop event timing. I've read the instructions on mine numerous times and can never keep them straight! My purpley-blue dial say...

I like the blue-ish dials....
