SEIKO Perpetual Calendars

Jul 22, 2014,21:16 PM

Seiko produces a line of quartz perpetual calendars using its 8F32 and 8F56 movements. I've had a lot of these watches over the last ten years, though I've only got 4 right now. Here's the nicest one:

It's a titanium case and bracelet with GMT. My only complaint is the cheaply stamped second hand. However, that flaw is offset by the hand striking each marker precisely.

The watch is light, the bracelet comfortable, and the dial is extremely legible.

I'm on a boat trip right now and have been swapping between the perpetual and my Seiko sterile diver. Together they make a great vacation watch selection.

Does anyone else have an 8F56 perpetual? Please let me know.

Cheers,

Cazalea
