how wrong could i be when i said my 1964 Seiko ensemble was complete

Apr 22, 2014,10:53 AM

last week i mentioned in the post about my newly purchased 1964 Grand Seiko that i thought i had purchased all the 1964 Seiko's that i wanted.

how wrong could i be.
only a couple of days later i came across a Seiko 5 Sportmatic in original condition for a very good price. i was aware that the Seiko 5 range had recently had a 50th anniversary so checked to find that the range was first released in 1963 making an april 1964 version a pretty early model.
it has a black dial with very interesting design on it, much better than a plain one. the hidden crown and day date is quite advanced for the period, several years before Omega had a day date watch.
the condition in the pics was so good that i couldnt pass it up so its on its way to me as we speak.
now i will say again ' i think i have completed the Seiko 1964 ensemble', the question is, am i right?

heres a couple of pics taken by the seller
