Yeah I can imagine that they were perceived very differently ages ago, would have loved to understand more about the provenance of it. I'd argue that they would be much much rarer than Rolex as I'm sure most of them preferred a Rolex vs. a Seiko. Nice to know there was some Seiko-enlightened Omani Royalty smile

Hey guys! I just wanted to ask about a recent acquisition of mine - a Seiko with an Oman Khanjar seal on the dial. I've seen about 2 - 3 others online, but wanted to see if anyone had any info regarding legitimacy and potentially Seikos history with Oman?...

A great movement. I have nothing on that specific watch but the custom-dial watches are relatively common - must have bought hundreds (thousands?) of various brands. If only I had that kind of resources! Cazalea

I’m pretty sure these are quite the opposite of common! This is only the second example I have ever seen photographed. If they truly are common, someone please feel free to hook me up with one! Kind regards, Gerald.

I didn't mean to imply Seikos with Oman symbols were common, but Rolexes

were not so difficult to find 10-15 years ago ... they were considered “defaced” then by some people who warned me off them, but now can be considered “exceptional” and desirable at least in auction catalog descriptions. Search Oman dial Rolex and you wil...
